Litigator/Senior Paralegal- Personal Injury/Credit Hire Department



My client are currently looking to recruit a Litigator/Senior Paralegal to join the Litigation team within my clients Personal Injury/Credit Hire Department. The role will be to manage a portfolio of approx 250 cases. Your primary purpose is to conclude cases wherever this will be to the benefit of the client and the financial benefit of the practice.


Through effective litigation, the litigator will ensure that the firm is not exposed to limitation risks and that all internal procedures relating to litigation are followed at all times.

Skills and Knowledge required:

General Skills:

? Customer care
? Excellent spoken and written communications skills
? High level of accuracy and attention to detail
? Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
? Good organizational and time management skills
? Computer and admin skills
? Able to use the Case Management System
? Respect for confidential information
? Assisting newer member of the team in dealing with cases
? Ability to keep calm under pressure
? Ability to build good working relationships with people at all levels of the business
? Be willing to take on responsibility
? Research skills

Technical Skills:

? Good working knowledge of the litigation processes
? Good working knowledge of PI claims and or Credit Hire handling and JSB guidelines
? Good working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules for example: Part 7 (issuing claims forms), Part 26 (allocation), Part 36 (offers),
? Good understanding of Insurance principles
? Negotiation
? An understanding of uninsured losses
